A resident breeder of rocky outcrops and jebels. This is the ancestor of the Feral (domesticated) Dove that is such a common sight in towns and cities. It feeds on the ground looking for seeds, and is often seen in swirling flocks. Research is required to determine the status of truly wild Rock Doves in Qatar, which are in danger of being swamped by feral populations.
